Salesforce Developer/Integration Specialist

DETAILS:   Full-time W2 position as an employee of Allium

LOCATION:   Remote  opportunity

(All candidates must physically reside in the United States and be available to work core hours 8:00 to 5:00 pm CST.)

Allium is looking for a seasoned Salesforce Developer to be a part of our talented team. The Developer and Integration Specialist develops specifications and assists in gathering requirements, contributes to solution design, and configures the Salesforce platform in response to client needs and planned usage for the platform. This role develops, modifies and maintains the Salesforce platform that may be customized or standardized. This position participates in design and coding activities, working collaboratively with other team members and the client team. Ultimately, the Salesforce Developer contributes to successful engagements and project implementations. The Salesforce Developer will serve as the subject matter expert for solution architecture that will include configuration, development, integration and customization of complex environments.


  • Liaise with diverse and multicultural internal stakeholders to understand business needs in developing solutions through Salesforce
  • Estimate scope for development efforts
    Strong Declarative and Administration skills (triggers, custom objects, reports, workflows and assignment rules)
  • Design and develop solutions primarily on the Salesforce platform using Apex programming language and Visual Force
  • Develop software solutions using developer tools, API framework, and 3rd party APIs
  • Perform unit testing and defect fixes
  • Write and update all relevant project documentation, including designs, technical specifications and Production Support documentation with the client provided information
  • Develop test scripts to assist users in testing
  • Ad hoc analysis and projects as needed


  • 5+ years of experience working with Salesforce
  • One or more Salesforce certifications demonstrating current knowledge as a developer
  • Solid understanding of web technologies, such as JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, DHTML, CSS
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and understanding of relational databases
  • Proficient in writing clean, solid, readable code
  • Experience with at least one object-oriented programming language, such as Java, C#, C++
  • Highly accurate with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent problem solving capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects involving various end users, meet deadlines and proactively communicate status updates
  • Demonstrates calm under pressure, is a proactive contributor with an eagerness to learn
